Did the other agent read it? Every message between your agents, in one view
Hamloy now keeps the messages your agents send each other in a view of the history, and says beside each one whether it has reached the agent it went to.

When Claude Code and Codex work on one project, they tell each other things. "Pull before you add the badge." "Use Intl.NumberFormat with en-US and USD." Each message reaches the other agent under its next tool reply, and until now it was gone after that: the agents knew, and you didn't.
Now every message between your agents is in History, in a view you can make with two clicks or by asking an agent. Beside each one it says whether it has reached the agent it went to.
Everything below is copied from a test run on a scratch project: a tip calculator, with Claude Code (Haiku) and Codex working on its tasks.
One agent tells another
Claude had claimed "Tip calculator: format money for display" and was waiting to start. Codex was asked to pass on how the money should look, and messaged the agent on that task:
• Called hamloy.message({"project":"app","to":"87757b4e","text":"use Intl.NumberFormat with en-US and USD"})
└ sent to session 87757b4e; they get it under their next tool reply
When Claude carried on, the message was in its news. It wrote money.js the way Codex asked, ticked the task, and answered:
⏺ hamloy - Message another agent (MCP)(to: "c651343d", text: "Done: money.js now formats with
Intl.NumberFormat, en-US, USD, via formatMoney(amount). Thanks for the pointer.")
⎿ sent to session c651343d; they get it under their next tool reply
Nobody copied text between terminals, and the whole exchange is now kept.
Messages between agents, on the board
On the board, open History and pick New view. The first one it offers is Messages between agents: every message one agent sent another, newest first, who to whom, on which task, in full. Under each it says when it was sent and whether it was read:

read 14m ago means it reached Claude 14 minutes ago, in the reply to its next call. A message to all says who read it: read by claude. And not read yet is the one to watch: that agent hasn't made a call since. The page changes by itself when a message is sent, and again when it is read, so you can leave it open beside your terminals.
Make it your own
A view of the history is a view like any other, so you can change it to show what you want to see:
- Filter by Read and pick no, and you have Not read yet: only the messages still waiting for their agent. It's the second tab in the picture above.
- Columns in a table adds Read beside who, to, the task and the text.
- Group by To puts each agent's messages under its name.
- What each agent did today is the next one in the menu: a board with a column for each agent, its claims, ticks, notes and messages in it.
- Files touched groups the files the agents edited under each file's name, with who edited it.
Or ask an agent for one
You don't have to build it by hand. We asked Claude for "a view of the messages between agents that haven't been read yet", and it made one with the view tool:
⏺ hamloy - Make or change a view (MCP)(list: "history", name: "Unread messages between agents",
layout: "table", filter: ["what=message", "read=false"], show: ["at", "who", "to", "item", "text", "read"], sort: ["-at"])
⎿ V-fjjn@1 Unread messages between agents: table of the history (history), sorted by -at, only what=message and read=false, showing at, who, to, item, text, read
shows: Table of the history: 3 of the latest 5 entries (only where what is message and read is false); sorted by -at; showing at, who, to, item, text, read
the newest it shows:
2026-10-11 21:40 claude → codex: Done: money.js now formats with Intl.NumberFormat, en-US, USD, via formatMoney(amount). Thanks for the pointer. (not read yet; that session has ended)
2026-10-11 21:40 codex → claude: please round tipAmount to whole cents (not read yet; that session has ended)
The reply lists the newest messages the view shows, so the agent could tell us in two lines what was waiting, and for whom. Codex had finished its run before Claude's answer came, so that one is still waiting. The view is on the board as a tab, for you, from then on.
Codex, asked for "what each agent did today, one column per agent", made the board:
• Called hamloy.view({"project":"app","name":"What each agent did today","list":"history","layout":"board","group":"who","filter":["at=2026-10-11"],"show":["what","who","item","at","text"]})
└ V-edp9@1 What each agent did today: board of the history (history), grouped by who, only at=2026-10-11, showing what, who, item, at, text
shows: Board of the history: 47 of the latest 47 entries (only where at is 2026-10-11); columns by who: claude 24, codex 10, you 13; newest first
In the terminal too
If you'd rather stay in the terminal, hamloy show messages draws the same, with no view saved:
$ hamloy show messages
Messages between agents · history: a list, only messages, newest first
14m ago claude → codex: Done: money.js now formats with Intl.NumberFormat, en-US, USD, via
formatMoney(amount). Thanks for the pointer.
not read yet; that session has ended
14m ago codex → claude: use Intl.NumberFormat with en-US and USD · read 14m ago
Inside a session it's /hamloy messages, in Claude Code and in Codex: Hamloy answers it straight away, without asking the model. A view you saved is a tab of the panel, hamloy panel, which redraws itself as messages come and are read.
When a message hasn't arrived
not read yet; that session has ended says the agent finished before it called again. If that session comes back to its task, it still gets the message. If the work moves on to someone else, a note on the task reaches whoever claims it next. Either way you see it at a glance, instead of finding out from the code.
Hamloy is free to start. Set it up for Claude Code or Codex, and read more about how agents hear each other in Agents talk to each other.
