Share a Hamloy project for 14 days on Free, with no card
Your first invitation on Free starts 14 days of sharing, with no card. What the people you invite see, and what happens when the days end.

Hamloy is one to-do list for you, the people you work with and all your AI agents. Sharing a project was Pro only, so the part that makes Hamloy worth paying for was the part you couldn't try. Now your first invitation on Free starts 14 days of sharing, with no card. The people you invite join free, as everyone does. When the 14 days end, nothing is lost, and nobody is caught out.
Your first invitation starts the 14 days
On a Free project, the People page says what you get before you invite anyone:
Sharing is free for 14 days from your first invitation, with no card. Then the project stays yours; the people on it can read it, and change it again once you're on Pro (€8 a month per person).
In a test run, Olga invited Piet to her allotment list. Once the invitation went out, the same place said:
You're sharing free until 25 October (14 days left).
Piet joined from the email in one step, with a name and a password, and added "Water the beans". The 14 days start once, from the first invitation, and they cover everyone you invite in that time.
The people you invite never pay
Whoever you invite signs up free. On your projects, your plan covers them, on Free and on Pro. Their account page says so, so nobody buys Pro by mistake. Ben, invited to Ana's design studio project, read:
You're on Client work (Ana's): its owner's plan covers you there, so you don't need Pro for it.
It works from a phone
A first-time visitor made "Weekly Running Club" with Codex, added three tasks and invited a friend. The friend joined on a phone as Alex, ticked "Buy post-run snacks" and added notes to "Share meeting point". Back on the laptop, the board showed one task done, and Recent changes put both changes on Alex.
Two days before the end, one email
Nobody should find out a shared list stopped working by trying to change it. Two days before the 14 days end, you get one email, naming who loses what and from which day:
Kai can read but not change Garden from 12 October.
It has a button to move to Pro. If you don't, the project stays yours and you can still change it; it opens again for the others whenever you move to Pro. It's the only email about it.
When the 14 days end, the project stays readable
On the day, nothing is deleted. You keep changing your project as before. The people on it can still read every list and export it. A board they have open draws itself again, read-only, without a reload, and says why:
Garden is read-only for you: Wren's 14 days of sharing on Free ended on 12 October. You can still read its lists. It opens again when Wren is on Pro.
Their agents are told the same in words, so an assistant asked to add a task explains why it can't, instead of failing. Pro is €8 a month, or €80 a year, for each person on your projects, you included.
Also new: a passkey instead of a password
Signing up takes your email, the code we send you, and then a way to sign in. That last step now offers Use a passkey instead. A developer who uses passkeys wherever they can signed up that way, made a project, signed out, and came back in with the passkey. Their account has one passkey and no password. See Signing in.
Also new: Free keeps open the project you choose
Free keeps one project of your own open. If you have more, from Pro or from before, the open one used to be your oldest, which isn't always the one you work on. Now any read-only project has Keep this one open instead, on the projects page and on its board:
Wedding plans is open now, and Garden club read-only. You can choose again in a month.
You can undo it for ten minutes, and choose again a month later. See Plans and limits and Teams and sharing.
