ChatGPT
Add Hamloy to ChatGPT on the web as a custom MCP server, from Plugins, and sign in once in the browser.
Updated 10 October 2026
ChatGPT keeps one connection for your account. Once Hamloy is added, ChatGPT can read your lists, add tasks, and put the decisions that are yours on Questions. It reaches every project you are on, and says which one each time.
What you need
- A Hamloy account. Create a free board if you have none.
- ChatGPT on the web (chatgpt.com). OpenAI's help says ChatGPT's MCP apps are web only, not in the phone apps.
- A plan and workspace that let you add a custom MCP server. OpenAI leaves that to your account and workspace; on a Business, Enterprise or Edu workspace an admin may have to allow it first.
Connect
- In ChatGPT, open Plugins (chatgpt.com/plugins), press +, and choose Add custom MCP server.
- Call it Hamloy, and under Connection give it this address:
https://hamloy.com/mcp
- Leave the sign-in on OAuth, read the warning, and choose I understand and want to continue.
- Choose Create as a plugin, and sign in to Hamloy in the window that opens. Hamloy asks Let "ChatGPT" in? Choose Allow.
These are the steps in OpenAI's developer docs on 10 October 2026. ChatGPT moves its menus often: it used to be Settings › Apps › Advanced settings, Developer mode, then Create. Wherever the button is, the address and the OAuth sign-in stay the same.
Check that it worked
Start a new chat, type @ and choose Hamloy, and ask "What's open in Hamloy?" ChatGPT calls the list tool. On a new project the reply is short:
Pebble · 0 open, 0 done
(nothing to show)
On a project with work in it, each list comes back with its keys:
Pebble · 3 open, 0 done
backlog
[ ] B-k3f9@1 Streak counter on the habit card
requests
[ ] R-q4ve@1 Create an Apple developer account
questions
[ ] Q-7hnc@1 How should a shared streak look? options: 1) A square card (recommended) 2) A story-sized image
If you are on several projects, Hamloy tells ChatGPT their names, and it asks you which one or picks by name.
Then give it real work: "Plan the launch in Hamloy". It adds tasks, and writes what only you can do on Requests, with the exact steps.
⏺ hamloy - Add an item (MCP)(kind: "request", title: "Make an APNs key for push reminders", body: […], needs: ["R-h2qe"])
⎿ R-p4nk@1 Make an APNs key for push reminders
⏺ Push reminders need an APNs key, and only you can make one. The steps are on your list. I'm going on with the settings screen meanwhile.
- In developer.apple.com › Certificates, IDs & Profiles › Keys, press +
- Name it Pebble push and tick Apple Push Notifications service
- Download the .p8 file and put its path in .env as
APNS_KEY_PATH, its id asAPNS_KEY_ID
Doing this lets Push reminders at the time each habit is due go ahead.
If it doesn't work
- Plugins has no Add custom MCP server. Your plan or your workspace doesn't allow custom MCP servers. On a work workspace, ask its admin; on an older menu, look for Developer mode under Settings › Apps › Advanced settings.
- The sign-in window says "This isn't ChatGPT." Hamloy refuses an app that calls itself ChatGPT but sends you back to another site. Start again from ChatGPT.
- The sign-in window says "This link doesn't work." Hamloy doesn't know the app that sent you. Delete the app in ChatGPT and create it again.
- ChatGPT answers without calling Hamloy. Type @ and choose Hamloy for that message, or ask it plainly to use Hamloy.
- You want to cut the connection. Hamloy's Connect page lists ChatGPT under Connected apps, with Disconnect.
For one sentence that sets other apps up for you, see Set up by asking your assistant.
