Claude

Add Hamloy to Claude as a custom connector once, and use it on the web, in the desktop app and on your phone.

Claude keeps one connection for your account. Add Hamloy once as a custom connector, and it works on claude.ai, in the Claude desktop app and in Claude on your phone. It reaches every project you are on; Claude says which project each time, and can list them.

Use this to plan in Claude: talk an idea through, and have Claude write the tasks, requests and questions into Hamloy. Claude Code or Codex then pick the tasks up on your computer.

What you need

  • A Hamloy account. Create a free board if you have none.
  • A Claude account. Anthropic's help center says custom connectors work on every plan, and that the Free plan has room for one. On Team and Enterprise plans an owner adds the connector first, under Organization settings › Connectors, and each member then connects it for themselves. (Checked against Anthropic's help center on 10 October 2026.)

Connect

  1. In Claude, open Customize › Connectors, choose + Add, then Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Hamloy, and give it this address as the MCP server URL:
https://hamloy.com/mcp
  1. Choose Continue. Hamloy opens in a window and asks: Let "Claude" in? Choose Allow.

No key is needed. Hamloy shows Claude under Connected apps on its Connect page, where you can disconnect it at any time.

If this is your first project, the same window asks you to name it. That is where Claude writes your tasks, requests and questions; you can rename it later.

Check that it worked

Start a new chat and ask "What's open in Hamloy?" Claude calls the list tool. If you are on one project, the reply is its lists:

Pebble · 3 open, 0 done
backlog
[ ] B-k3f9@1 Streak counter on the habit card
requests
[ ] R-q4ve@1 Create an Apple developer account
questions
  [ ] Q-7hnc@1 How should a shared streak look? options: 1) A square card (recommended) 2) A story-sized image

If you are on several, Hamloy asks Claude which one. Claude picks the one the work belongs to by name; when none fits, it does the work and asks you at the end:

You are on 2 projects, so say which one this is for, as project: “Pebble” or “Omar's Site”. When none of them is what this work belongs to, do the work anyway and ask the human at the end which project it goes in, or start one with new_project.

Then ask for real work, such as "Plan the sharing feature in Hamloy". Claude adds the tasks, and puts each decision that is yours on Questions, with the option it recommends. You answer on the board, or in the chat.

Where should synced habits live?
Ccodex 3d ago
Supabase: Postgres with auth and row-level security built in recommended
Our own Postgres on Fly.io
iCloud only, no server
Or answer in your own words Why (optional) Answer

Answering this lets Offline sync with a local SQLite cache go ahead.

C codex · ~/pebble · feat/offline

• I asked you where synced habits should live (Q-sy2c). Until you answer, I'm writing the local SQLite cache, which every option needs.

If it doesn't work

  • Claude doesn't use Hamloy in a chat. Check that the connector is on for that chat: the + button at the lower left of the message box, then Connectors.
  • The window says "This isn't Claude." Hamloy refuses an app that calls itself Claude but sends you back to another site. Start again from Claude itself.
  • The window says "This link doesn't work." Hamloy doesn't know the app that sent you. Remove the connector in Claude and add it again.
  • Claude asks you to sign in again. It was disconnected under Connected apps in Hamloy. Connect it again from Claude's Connectors.

Claude in the desktop app has a page of its own: Claude Desktop. For Claude Code, the coding tool in the terminal, see Claude Code.
