Delete your account
How to delete your Hamloy account, or only one project, what goes with it, what stays on projects other people own, and what to do first.
You can delete your Hamloy account yourself, at any time, on any plan. It goes at once and for good: your projects and everything in them, your tokens and connected apps, and every way you sign in.
Before you do
- Download your lists. Deleting can't be undone, and nothing can be brought back. On Your projects, press Download its lists under each project you want to keep, or use the links under "Want a copy first?" on the delete page itself. See Export.
- Think of the people on your projects. A project you own goes for everyone on it, and each of them gets an email saying so. If they need the lists, they can download them first too.
- You don't need to cancel Pro. Deleting your account cancels it at Creem first.
Deleting it
- On Your account, at the bottom, under Delete your account, press Delete your account….
- If you last signed in more than 30 minutes ago, you are asked to sign in again: "Sign in again to delete your account."
- The page lists what goes, with the names of your projects and how many other people are on each.
- Under Type your address to confirm, type your email address.
- Press Delete my account for good.
You land on the sign-in page: "Your account is deleted, with everything in it."
What goes
At once and for good:
- Your projects, with every task, request and question in them, their views and their history, for everyone on them.
- Your place on projects other people share with you.
- Your tokens and connected apps. Every agent that uses them is refused from then on: Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Code and anything with an API token.
- Your name, your email address and every way you sign in: password, passkeys, and Google, GitHub or Apple.
Backups that still hold any of it are gone within 30 days.
What stays
What you wrote on a project someone else owns stays in that project's lists, as part of their work: your tasks, notes and answers there are theirs to keep.
On your computer, the hamloy program and its hooks stay until you take them out. hamloy uninstall removes the hooks, the sign-in (which no longer works anyway) and the program itself.
If Pro can't be cancelled
If Creem can't be reached to cancel your Pro, nothing is deleted: "Your Pro couldn't be cancelled just now, so nothing was deleted. Try again in a minute."
If you can't sign in
Try Forgot password? on the sign-in page first. If that fails, write to [email protected] from the account's own address, and the account is deleted by hand within 30 days. See Privacy and what is logged.
Deleting one project instead
To delete only one project you own, open its Settings and, under Delete this project, press Delete Pebble (its own name). It asks once more ("Delete Pebble and everything in it? This cannot be undone."), then the project goes with its lists, views and history, for everyone on it. The page names the people on it, and each of them gets an email saying you deleted it.
Only the owner can delete a project. To leave a project someone shared with you, see Teams and sharing.
Limits
- Deleting can't be undone, by you or by Hamloy.
- It needs a sign-in in the last 30 minutes, and your address typed out, so neither a laptop left signed in nor a slip of the hand is enough.
- Your email address is free again afterwards: you can make a new account with it, empty.
